I'm at the Blog Business Summit in Seattle with my colleague TK, who has already blogged about one of the sessions on HVY TK. Robert Scoble from PodTech (former Microsoft geek blogger) is currently on the panel. He's the one who wrote "Naked Conversations", the book on my 'current reading' list (which I've actually finished by now, I should update this...). They are talking about podcasting right now, not really one of my favorite topics. I've just never managed to download podcasts to my ipod and actually listen to them. I still prefer India Arie on my way to work, but that's just me. Scoble just talked about someone who told him that he's listened to his podcast while hiking through the Scottish highlands... well... I'd rather just enjoy the peace and quiet in the outdoors.
Back to business: I think I'm just going to point to some really great write ups for now, spreading some blog-love through trackbacks. :-)
Oh, and because my friend Susan has written it up so nicely - here are her Seattle recommendations (thanks Susan!!):
Restaurants in Belltown/Pike Place Market
1. Brasserie Margaux - Pacific Northwest Fusion (paired with French influence, the wild Burgundy snails are excellent!)

401 Lenora Street
2. 94 Stewart - A nice Pike Place Market ambience (Northwest bistro featuring locally produced meats, seafood, etc from the Market). The view of Puget Sound and the Olympics is fantastic on a clear day (or even a drizzly one)!

3. Dahlia Lounge - Love this place! Excellent cocktails and funky appetizers. The curried vegetable samosas are top notch.

Pubs/Lounges
Great pubs and cocktail lounges all over Belltown (just a few blocks up from the Market). Some of my favorites are:
- Crocodile cafe (great place for live music - where all the 90's grunge bands got their start)
- Twighlight Martini Lounge
- Pike Place pub/brewery (at the Market, featuring local ales)
- Contour (more of a nightclub, in the Pioneer Square neighborhood, but definitely close enough to walk).
- Baltic Room (for good DJ's)
- Tiny Bigs - another hot martini spot, with a 1950's vibe.
