Ok, I will spare myself comments about writing regularly. I just have to take it as it comes :-). And today I was reminded that this blog actually still exists and that there are some people still visiting it, so I really need to post an update.
Today was a pretty cool day. Our little family went swimming together for the very first time. Our little girl loves to take baths, so it wasn't surprising that she also liked the bigger version: a pool.
But this blog post is going to be about something else, something I thought about a lot today - babylove. Love for my baby, my child, my daughter, that is growing everyday.
I have a friend who once told me that she only really started to identify with her baby when it was one year old. And since then, she said, the love has been growing - something you call unconditional love. A kind of love that you can only feel for your child, not for anyone else. Well, it hasn't taken me a year to reach that point, but it definitely wasn't there from day one. I mean, there was love in a sense of taking care of something so totally helpless, but the love for a "person" has been growing slowly.
For the past two months, her developement was rapid, both motorically and as a little person. Besides crawling and sitting, she has started to recognize things by their name (e.g. her favorite toys or the streetcar) and she has started to act super happy when either I or T enter the room. She has also said "mama" the other day, very clearly meaning me, and she started to wave in order to say hi or when she wants to touch something. It's soooo cute. Oh, and 80 percent of the time she gives me a very wet smooch on my cheek when I ask her "Kriegt Mama ein Bussi?" (Does mum get a kiss?)
Anyways, today was a very loving day and I am very grateful for all the love - so wanted to spread it a bit :-). Hope you are all having a day full of LOVE! XOXO
wow, shes growing up so fast...bring her down here one of these days..
btw, i refuse to write any mush here except that I really know how u feel.. :)
